An Ontario woman is facing charges after another woman became ill following several buttock enhancement injections.

Toronto police say that on Aug. 26, a 28-year-old woman paid for and received several alleged Botox injections.

Police say she immediately became ill and was taken to hospital where she underwent surgery to have the substance removed.

Investigators say the accused advertised buttock, lip and muscle augmentations and Botox injections on a website called pmmainjection.com and met clients either at their home or at a hotel.

Police say the accused was paid thousands of dollars in cash for allegedly administering the injections.

Marilyn Ely Reid, 46, of Newmarket, Ont., has been charged with criminal negligence causing bodily harm and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
