The Toronto Environmental Alliance took aim at Mayor Rob Ford's transit plans on Monday.
It said that the Transit City plan he scrapped would have provided 52 kilometres of light-rail transit instead of the 25 kilometres of LRT under a revised plan.
The new plan would see an all-underground Eglinton line, a replacement for the existing Scarborough rapid transit line and extensions to the existing Sheppard subway. Estimated total cost: $13.8-billion.
