Former Toronto figure-skating coach facing fresh sex-assault charges Add to ...

Fresh sexual-assault charges have been laid against a former Toronto figure-skating star and coach, first arrested last year in connection with similar allegations dating back to the 1980s.

Kevin Michael Hicks, 53, was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with three counts of indecently assaulting a boy aged 12-13 over a period of several months.

He was to appear in court on Finch Avenue West later in the day.

In September, Mr. Hicks was charged with multiple sex offences in connection with another boy, who was a student of his.

Police believe there may also be other victims.

He is a former national−level figure skater and former coach with Woodbine Winter Skating Club, Weston Skating Club, Windsor Skating Club and Burlington Skating Club.

Anyone with relevant information is being asked to contact police at 416-808-2305, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
