A free lottery ticket turned into a $22.6-million jackpot for a Toronto-area woman.

Forty-nine year old Vivian Leung of Richmond Hill won a ticket off a five-dollar bet in May and used it for last Friday's Lotto Max draw.

Ms. Leung says she couldn't believe what she was seeing when she scanned the ticket - the store clerk had to convince her the flashing eight-figure jackpot was really hers.

It's the biggest OLG win since a $50-million jackpot was claimed in March by three employees at a Toronto bakery.

Ms. Leung collected her giant cheque Thursday in Toronto.

Despite being a multi-millionaire now, she says she intends to keep working at the hair products store she manages.

Ms. Leung says she'll share her money with family, especially her 85-year old father whom she plans to move to Toronto from his current home in Edmonton.

Ms. Leung says dad has heart issues - so she plans to tell him very slowly about her huge windfall.
