Man, 19, shot at Toronto transit station Add to ...

A 19-year-old is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was found shot and lying next to GO train tracks near the Lawrence East rapid transit station Friday afternoon, police said.

Police were called to the Lawrence East station shortly after 1 p.m. after a report that a man had been shot.

The man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, Constable Tony Vella said.

It is unknown whether the man was shot near the train tracks where he was found, or if he was shot at a different location.

No weapon has been recovered.
