Toronto police are appealing to the public for help after a man was stabbed in a park on Tuesday night, according to a Toronto radio station.

Newstalk 1010 is reporting that the 27-year-old victim was stabbed in the chest in a parking lot at G. Ross Lord Park (near Dufferin Street and Finch Avenue West.)

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries just after 11 p.m., according to police.

Police updated the victim's condition early Wednesday, saying his injuries were serious but no longer life-threatening.

There's no immediate word on any possible suspects or arrests but police say anyone who may have been in the park and witnessed the stabbing should come forward.
