No evidence of bomb found after scare on Porter flight Add to ...

A 40-year-old man was arrested and a flight to Chicago cancelled after a bomb scare on a Porter flight at the Toronto City Airport Friday.

Authorities emptied and searched the plane just after noon, after a flight attendant overheard a passenger on the aircraft talking about a pipe bomb.

Police descended on the terminal and the aircraft, but nothing was found, said Staff Sergeant Steve French.

No other flights have been affected. Charges are pending a police investigation.
