Toronto police have only a vague description of a cab driver alleged to have sexually assaulted a woman leaving the downtown Entertainment District in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The woman told police that around 3 a.m. she got into the cab near Peter Street and Adelaide Street West area after leaving a nearby night club.

She was then driven east to an isolated spot in the Gerrard Street East and Clonmore Drive area, where the driver parked and sexually assaulted her, she said.

The man then drove away and the woman called police.

The suspect is described as a man in his late 20's, standing five-foot-11 with a brown complexion and a medium build.

The description of the cab, too, is vague.

Police only know that it was a white minivan of some type, and suspect it was flagged down by the woman rather than being called via the taxi dispatcher.
