York Regional Police are asking for help identifying an unknown young woman found in Vaughan, north of Toronto, earlier this week.

Police say they found the woman alone on Monday night outside a plaza in the area of Highway 400 and Rutherford Road.

They say she appeared to be confused and officers were concerned that she was unable to care for herself.

The woman was transported to hospital where staff have been unable to identify her.

She is described as between 18 and 22 years old, five-foot-two and weighing 110 pounds with a thin build. She has black curly hair and brown eyes and speaks English.
