Rob Ford

A website under Toronto Mayor Rob Ford's name is sending all who venture there to the Toronto Star site.

The Toronto newspaper has been in a public feud with the mayor for more than year.

An old website address previously used by Mr. Ford — www.robford.ca — now directs users to a message that reads: "Rob, we're sorry!!"

After a few seconds, users are then redirected to the website for the Star, which has been critical of Mr. Ford and his cost-cutting measures.

It's not known who is behind the prank.

Mr. Ford has refused to talk to Star reporters since an article in the paper last year concerning his conduct as a football coach.

The Star says that's the mayor's prerogative, but adds the paper is being denied notification of public events, briefings or announcements from Mr. Ford's office.

Torstar chairman John Honderich has said the Star is filing a complaint with the city's integrity commissioner.
