Heavy rain has caused some flooding in downtown Toronto.
Fire crews were on scene Tuesday night helping pedestrians and vehicles out of a flooded underpass (on Lower Simcoe Street), radio station 680News reported.
Fire Capt. Mike Strapko says firefighters rescued some people who were stranded in a taxi where the water rose just over a metre.
A couple of vehicles were stuck in the water up to the top of the tires.
This is the second time that the underpass has flooded this summer.
There have been isolated reports of flash flooding across Toronto.
