A man is in hospital after being shot by police in downtown Toronto.
Authorities say a man was shot by an officer near the Eaton Centre, in the area of Shuter and Victoria Streets, around 1:40 p.m.
The man has been taken to nearby St. Michael's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Ontario's Special Investigations Unit is investigating the incident and no other details are immediately available.
The agency probes incidents of death, injury or alleged sexual assault involving police.
