Police believe the slaying of a man found dead in a car in west-end Toronto was a targeted killing and are searching for a suspect vehicle.

Officers responding to a shooting call Sunday night discovered the 27-year-old seated in the car (near Evans Avenue and Brown's Line) suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His name has not been released and an autopsy was scheduled for Monday.

Investigators believe a suspect fled the scene in a silver two-door car.
