Two Peel Region men are in custody on first-degree murder charges and police are hunting a third in the shooting death last year of a 32-year-old father.

The body of Dwayne Alexander Thompson was discovered Nov. 1 behind a three-storey building on Darcel Avenue in Malton after police responded to several 911 calls reporting gunshots.

He had been shot several times. His car was found nearby the next day.

On Wednesday, after what police described as an "intensive" investigation, homes were searched in Toronto, Brampton and Mississauga, resulting in the arrests of Amal Everton Greensword of Brampton, 23, and Adrian Jordan Williams of Mississauga, 19.

A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for Steven Vanroy Browne, 22, of no fixed address.

He is viewed as armed and dangerous and should not be approached, Peel Regional Police said.

Anyone with information about the killing is asked to contact the Homicide Bureau at (905) 453-2121, ext. 3205, or anonymously via Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or by visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca .
