Toronto police have arrested two men in connection with a brazen shooting last year at a packed downtown restaurant that killed a 31-year-old man and sent two women to hospital.

Police responded to a call of a shooting on Nov. 16 at the Garden Restaurant (at 153 Dundas St. West) about 4 a.m., where they located three people in the restaurant suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police said the three were eating when they got into a dispute with the suspects.

Police allege the suspects pulled out guns, with one then opening fire.

Tariq Mohammed of Mississauga, Ont. was shot in the head at close range and pronounced dead at the scene while two women in their 20s were shot in the chest and abdomen and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say Marcus Gibson, 22, and Ceyon Carrington, 28 both of Toronto, face first degree murder, robbery and assault charges.
