13 killed in attack on police station in China’s Xinjiang region Add to ...

Thirteen people were killed in an attack on a police station in China’s restive region of Xinjiang, the official Xinhua news agency reported on Saturday.

The 13 killed were described as “mobsters”, while three police were wounded in the attack on Saturday morning, the news agency said citing local government.

China has been cracking down after a spate of recent attacks centered around the far-western Xinjiang province.
