The only comprehensive survey conducted in the rugged areas of western Pakistan was published this week by The New America Foundation, a think tank based in Washington. The group sent researchers to 120 locations in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, conducting 1,000 face-to-face interviews. Here are some results:
