Uganda's opposition leader arrested and supporters chased down Add to ...

Uganda's top presidential challenger Kizza Besigye was arrested for a third time in a week, as a chaotic election stretched into a second day. Heavily armed police surrounded the opposition leader's headquarters before moving in. Afterwards police fired tear gas and stun grenades at his supporters who took to the streets.
