Uninsured or underinsured Americans flocked to rural Wise County, Va., earlier this month to seek free dental, vision and medical services. The Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps. transformed the local fairgrounds into a field hospital to provide care on a first-come, first-served basis. It's estimated 2,400 people received care over a three-day period at the clinic. The event has been held annually for 12 years.
