Columnist Mathew Ingram

Biography 


Mathew Ingram joined the Globe and Mail's online news team at www.globeandmail.com in June of 2000, after spending four years as the Western business columnist, based in Calgary. Mathew received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Waterloo in 1985 and graduated from Ryerson University's School of Journalism in 1987. While at Ryerson, Mathew spent his summers working for The Globe and Mail and the London Free Press.

After graduating from Ryerson, he moved to Edmonton and was a senior writer at the former Western newsmagazine Alberta Report for four years. He then moved back to Toronto to work for three and a half years at the former Financial Times of Canada, before joining the Globe in 1994 to help launch the revamped Money & Markets section.
