ADP meets the needs of small business
There is no company too small for ADP. Just because ADP is a large, multinational organization, it doesn't mean that they only deal with large players. Just ask George A. Cochrane and Associates - the company only has six employees and has been using ADP to handle its payroll since 1998.
ADP provides payroll for businesses with one to 50 employees as part of its small business solution package. Melody Cochrane, Co-owner of the insurance franchise, doesn't have time in her busy schedule to focus on payroll issues, so she uses ADP's Telephone Payroll service.
"It's not my area of expertise and I really can't spare the time to do this function. I have to focus on what I do and that is to sell. To handle tax filing, keep up with legislation and ROEs would be too time consuming. So ADP handles everything for me."
Cochrane is an agent for the company and her involvement with the payroll function is to call in the numbers every two weeks.
"The service at ADP is great. All I do is work out the employees' hours and call them in and ADP does the rest. They look after all the government remittances and it's easy for us."
Cochrane is also impressed with the fact that there is no waiting or delays. "T4s always arrive early in January and we even get a proof first so we can check for errors."
George A. Cochrane is an insurance franchise of the Co-Operator's Insurance Company and has been in business since 1997. They are located in Cambridge, Ontario.
