Entrepreneurs ignore sources of money

Many owners of small- and medium-sized Canadian businesses don't know how to tap existing sources of financing, a new study says.

The owners are missing opportunities to promote their companies because they're unaware of government programs and other funding opportunities, and don't know the best way to approach financiers or lenders, says the study commissioned by Royal Bank, the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters Association, and Queen's School of Business.
