Special Olympics Canada is pleased to announce the following appointment to its leadership team and national Board of Directors.
Dr. Jonathan Weiss is appointed SOC Board Member, Special Olympics Canada. He is an Assistant Professor at York University.
Special Olympics Canada is dedicated to enriching the lives of Canadians with an intellectual disability through the transformative power and joy of sport. Through daily programs and competitions offered by sport clubs in twelve provincial and territorial chapters, this grassroots movement provides close to 37,000 athletes with an intellectual disability the opportunity to train, improve their fitness, and showcase their abilities. The athletes are supported by more than 17,000 volunteers, including more than 13,000 trained coaches. Be a catalyst for change and join this global movement.
