Neil D. Fraser, President of Medtronic of Canada Ltd. & Area VP - Canada, Medtronic Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Gene Macdonald as Director, Health System Strategies - Western Canada.

Mr. Macdonald will lead and align strategic efforts across all Medtronic businesses, collaborating with healthcare partners across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba to build mutually beneficial partnerships. He brings over 12 years' experience in the Pharmaceutical and Diagnostic business and has been a member of the MEDEC Western Canada Committee. Most recently, Mr. Macdonald spent the past five years as a Strategic Account Manager for BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba for Roche Canada - focusing on business strategy, stakeholder engagement and healthcare policy. Mr. Macdonald holds a BA in Psychology from Simon Fraser University and an MBA from UBC-Sauder School of Business, with a specialization in Healthcare.

Mr. Macdonald is looking forward to working closely with new and existing Healthcare stakeholders and partners to achieve ongoing success for the Healthcare System in Western Canada.
