Ana P. Lopes, Chair of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Foundation, is pleased to announce the following new appointment to the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Heather Beamish is a member of the Board of Directors of The Woodbridge Group, a Canadian owned manufacturing company serving the global automotive industry. She is the President of The WB Family Foundation, supporting initiatives in education, medical research and healthcare. As a previous director of CAMH Foundation, Ms. Beamish was a member of CAMH’s Child and Youth Task Force on Mental Health, and has spearheaded several information sessions in the community focusing on youth and addressing the stigma relating to mental illness.
CAMH Foundation and its Board of Directors warmly welcome this new director. She joins an outstanding group of individuals committed to supporting the ambitious vision of Canada’s leading hospital for mental health. CAMH is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto, and is a Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization Collaborating Centre. CAMH Foundation raises funds to support CAMH’s excellent patient care, insightful research and innovative programs to better understand, treat and prevent mental illness and addiction.
