Jacques Tremblay, BScAct, FCIA, FSA, MAAA Add to ...

At the Annual Meeting of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA) held June 18-19 in Vancouver, Jacques Tremblay assumed the office of President for 2014–2015.

M. Tremblay is currently a partner with the actuarial consulting practice of Oliver Wyman in Toronto.

A graduate of Université Laval in actuarial science, he qualified as an actuary with the CIA and the Society of Actuaries in 1992.

M. Tremblay has been an active volunteer for the CIA, having served on over 30 committees and task forces, and the Actuarial Standards Board, and recently served as President-elect.


The Canadian Institute of Actuaries is the national organization and voice of the actuarial profession in Canada. The Institute is dedicated to serving the public through the provision, by the profession, of actuarial services and advice of the highest quality. In fact, the Institute holds the duty of the profession to the public above the needs of the profession and its members.
