President and Chief Operating Officer of Desjardins Financial Security, Denis Berthiaume, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jean-François Chalifoux as General Manager of Life and Health Insurance at Desjardins.
In his new role, Jean-François will be responsible for the overall strategic direction of the company's life and health insurance arm and will oversee its business development activities across Canada. Jean-François has been with Desjardins for more than 12 years, starting out as a manager with the company's property and casualty insurance arm before moving to its life and health insurance division. With a degree in actuarial sciences, he is also a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. Prior to this appointment, he was Senior Vice-President of Group and Business Insurance. Over his career at Desjardins, he has led a number of successful teams and has proven himself to be a highly talented and capable manager.
