Al Monaco, President and CEO of Enbridge Inc., on behalf of the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Directors, is pleased to announce the appointment of Linda Coady to the position of Chief Sustainability Officer, Enbridge Inc.
Linda is an internationally recognized and sought after expert on corporate sustainability issues, with a track record of helping to solve issues with complex social, environmental and economic interdependencies. She has 25 years of experience working with business, government, non-government organizations (NGOs), local communities and Indigenous Peoples on social responsibility and sustainability issues. She has led initiatives on social and environmental performance in the Canadian forest industry and is a former Vice President Pacific Region for World Wildlife Fund (WWF-Canada). From 2005 to 2010 Linda was Vice President of Sustainability for the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games (VANOC). Linda’s work has been recognized with awards from Canadian Business for Social Responsibility (CBSR), the YWCA and the Globe Foundation on Business and Environment. From 2010 to 2012 she was a Distinguished Fellow at the Liu Institute for Global Issues at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and taught corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the MBA program at UBC’s Sauder School of Business. She has consulted both locally and globally on sustainable development issues in the forestry, mining, energy and shipping industry as well as in the conservation movement and the sport sector.
