To: Senior Vice-President of Business Development, Export Development Canada (EDC)

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Export Development Canada (EDC), President and CEO Benoit Daignault is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Mairead Lavery to Senior Vice-President of Business Development.

Prior to this appointment, Ms. Lavery served as Vice-President of Finance for Bombardier's Aerospace Group where she was responsible for revenues of more than $9 billion and a team of over 500 people. She joined Bombardier in 1998 and became a member of the company's senior leadership team in 2007. She held, among other roles, the positions of Vice-President for Strategy, Business Development and Structured Finance, and most recently Vice-President, Transformation and Shared Services.

Prior to joining Bombardier Ms. Lavery worked for eight years at Ernst and Young in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

A native of Northern Ireland, Ms. Lavery earned a degree in Management and Accounting from Queen's University, Belfast, and is also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland.
