Mr. Marc Courtois, Chairman of the Board, is pleased to announce the election of Ms. Mary-Ann Bell to the Board of Directors of NAV CANADA.
Ms. Bell of Montreal, Québec, has extensive experience in Operations Management, Customer Service, Sales and Marketing, and Information Technology. For the last eight years, Ms. Bell held senior management positions at Bell Aliant Regional Communications, where she was appointed as Chief Operating Officer in 2005 and played a key leadership role in establishing a business unit in Québec. From 2009 until recently, she was Senior Vice President, overseeing a portfolio of business units.
Prior to that, Ms. Bell spent over 20 years with Bell Canada where she held a series of progressively senior executive positions, including Vice President of Operations, Québec, and Senior Vice President, Contact Centres. Some of her key responsibilities included the improvement of quality of service and productivity across Canada.
In addition to serving as Chair of the Board at the National Institute for Scientific Research (Québec University Network), Ms. Bell also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Valener Inc., Gaz Métro Inc., Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust, and Théâtre du Nouveau-Monde.
Ms. Bell obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering at the École Polytechnique de Montréal, followed by a Master's degree in Science from the INRS University. She attended Harvard Business School where she obtained a Certificate in Finance for Executives and holds a certification in Corporate Governance from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés.
