Penguin Random House Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Brad Martin to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer.
Martin served as President and CEO of Random House of Canada since 2007, after having held the position of Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President, Director Sales and Marketing since 2004. During his tenure, he led Random House of Canada to record success and has over seen the organic growth of the Canadian publishing program, which contributed to the company being recognized as this year’s Publisher of the Year. Previously he served in a variety of sales and marketing positions at Penguin Books Canada and was appointed President of Penguin Books Canada in 1996. Mr. Martin serves on the Penguin Random House North American and Worldwide Executive Boards, and is a member of the Board of Ludia, Inc., a Fremantle company based in Montreal. He is also current President of the Canadian Publishers Council.
Penguin Random House is the world’s first truly global trade book publisher. It was formed on July 1, 2013, upon the completion of an agreement between Bertelsmann and Pearson to merge their respective trade publishing companies, Random House and Penguin.
