Rene W. Gatien, Chair of the Board of Directors for the 2013-2014 Term, Electricity Distributors Association (EDA)
The Board of Directors of the Electricity Distributors Association (EDA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Rene W. Gatien as Chair for the 2013-2014 term.
A utility executive with more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Gatien is President and Chief Executive Officer of Waterloo North Hydro Inc and Waterloo North Hydro Holding Corporation. Prior to joining the company in 2002, he held senior leadership positions at Guelph Hydro, Brampton Hydro and PowerTel in operations, construction and fibre-optics.
Mr. Gatien is a registered Professional Engineer and a registered Journeyman Lineman in Ontario. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, graduating with distinction.
