The Hospital for Sick Children and SickKids Foundation are pleased to announce the appointment of a new chair to the Hospital's Board of Trustees and Foundation's Board of Directors.
Rose M. Patten was appointed as Chair of the Hospital Board of Trustees and as a Director of SickKids Foundation in June 2014. Ms. Patten is Special Advisor to the President and CEO of BMO Financial Group and is a member of the Bank's Executive Committee. This mandate also includes key advisory roles with respect to BMO's growing operations in the U.S. and Asia. She is a Director of BMO ChinaCo in China. Ms. Patten is currently Executive in Residence at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, teaching Leadership, Succession and Corporate Governance. She is Past Chair of the Governing Council at the University of Toronto. She was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Toronto. Ms. Patten has been consistently recognized as one of Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women and has also been recognized as one of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking by U.S. Banker Magazine.
