Sam Hammond, President of the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario, is proud to announce the appointment of Victoria Réaume as General Secretary. The General Secretary is the Chief Executive Officer of the federation.
Ms. Réaume was in private practice as a union-side labour lawyer in Toronto for 23 years. Central to her practice was the representation of ETFO members. She is co-author/editor of Education, Labour and Employment Law in Ontario.
In 2012 she was inducted as a Fellow of the Ontario Teachers’ Federation in recognition of her service to education, her commitment to social justice, and her enhancement of the image of women in the field of education.
The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario represents 76,000 public elementary school educators across the province and is the largest teacher union in Canada.
