More features, more models and more awards highlight the Chrysler lineup for 2013. Whether you place a premium on safety, fuel economy, engineering or overall value, Chrysler delivers with one of the automotive industry’s best selections of drivetrain and engine choices matched by equally impressive accolades.
The choices start with the Chrysler 200 – Canada’s most affordable mid-size sedan – and the 200 Convertible, which gets high marks for its best-in-class cargo capacity and rear legroom. Then, there is the eye-catching and luxurious Chrysler 300, now available with an all-new eight-speed automatic transmission. For families who have a taste for style, the practical and versatile Town & Country is Canada’s ultimate luxury minivan. All of these vehicles are available with Chrysler’s award-winning Pentastar V6 engine – voted among of the ‘Ten Best’ by industry analyst Ward’s Automotive.
Regarded by many as the most innovative minivan in its class, the Chrysler Town & Country has won praise from Consumer’s Digest as a ‘Best Buy,’ and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named it as one of their ‘Top Safety Picks.’ Marketing researcher R.L. Polk also awarded the Town & Country one of its ‘Customer Loyalty Awards’ for the past 11 years in a row. Meanwhile, the Town & Country’s industry-exclusive Stow ‘n Go folding seat system continues to draw praise from consumer and industry observers alike.
For 2013, the Town & Country
continues to be Canada’s ultimate luxury minivan with a segment-leading, award-winning 283-horsepower V6 engine, three-zone climate control system plus over 40 safety and security features all in a package that lend to the Town & Country’s legendary comfort and utility.
The first minivan to offer both a blind-spot monitoring system and a rear cross-path detection system, the Town & Country also gets high marks for innovation and for making safety a priority. These smart features tell the driver if there is vehicle in his “blind spot” and also alert him to any objects that may be behind him while backing up, an advantage further enhanced by this mini-van’s ParkView back-up camera.
Thoughtful features such as a power rear lift-gate, electronic stability control, power adjustable pedals and Chrysler’s unique Stow ‘n Place roof rack are all standard. Drivers who want even more can customize their Town & Country with extras such as leather interior, Uconnect hands-free communication system, remote start and power folding third row seats.
Features like these help make the stylish Town & Country a natural member of one of the most dynamic, cosmopolitan – and popular – vehicle lineups in Canada.

CHRYSLER 200-A bargain without compromise
Getting maximum value for your dollar is a goal shared by most Canadians.
That, in part, might explain the popularity of the Chrysler 200 – the most affordable mid-size sedan on the market and the most affordable V6-powered sedan in this segment. What’s more, the available Pentastar VVT V6 engine is one of Ward’s ‘10 Best Engines,’ with 283 horsepower on tap and one of the most powerful engines in this class. Another option is the proven 2.4-litre four cylinder, with a healthy 173 horsepower at your disposal. Mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, this sedan delivers one of the best highway fuel economy ratings in its class: up to 6.4 L/100 km on the highway.
Beyond offering options like these, this economical five-passenger sedan cuts no corners when it comes to comfort and standard equipment. For example, four wheel disc brakes with ABS, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring, a 60/40 folding rear seat, tilt/telescoping steering, air conditioning and ambient LED lighting all come standard. Extras include heated front seats, Sirius XM satellite radio, leather-faced seating, power sunroof and remote start, to name just a few. Not many other mid-size sedans can match the 200 when it comes to such interior features.
All this and an excellent safety rating too. The 200 is one of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s ‘Top Safety Picks’ award winners for 2013.
Best of all, this top-rated sedan’s suggested retail price starts at just under $20,000. By any measure, that’s a bargain.
CHRYSLER 200 Convertible-Living the dream
If you’ve been dreaming about owning a car that can go topless, but you don’t have bottomless pockets, pinch yourself. Chrysler has the answer to your dreams.
In fact, beyond its approachable sticker price, Chrysler’s 200 Convertible has everything you could ask for when it comes to al fresco driving, and more. With revised suspension, steering and brakes for 2013, the 200 Convertible offers best-in-class rear legroom and more cargo-carrying capacity than any of its rivals, which are few. Standard equipment includes a premium interior with air conditioning, steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, tilt/telescoping steering wheel and a cloth power top that lets in the sunshine in about 20 seconds.
The 200 Convertible doesn’t scrimp when it comes to safety features either. Four wheel disc brakes with ABS, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring display and a full complement of front, side and side-seat airbags are all standard.
There are also two engines to choose from: a 173-horsepower 2.4-litre four cylinder or Chrysler’s award-winning 283-horsepower Pentastar V6. Either one will provide extremely competitive fuel economy on par with some engines that offer way less power.
And if you do decide you want that extra bit of comfort and convenience, you can add features including a power-activated hardtop, heated front seats, Sirius XM satellite radio, remote start, key fob power top activator, universal remote garage door opener and a back seat windscreen.
But as far as wind-in-the-hair, sun-in-the-face driving enjoyment is concerned, well, that comes with all models.
CHRYSLER 300-Today’s higher standard
From its impressive styling to its wide range of drivetrain choices and best-in-class standard fuel economy, the Chrysler 300 sets a high bar by which all other full-size sedans are judged.
For starters, the Chrysler 300 offers three distinct engine choices: the award-winning Pentastar VVT V6 and a pair of legendary Hemi engines, both featuring Chrysler’s Fuel Saving Multi Displacement System that shuts off up to half of the engine’s cylinders when they’re not needed. Further, the 300’s impressive optional 6.4-litre 470-horsepower Hemi is the highest performing in its class. But that’s not all – an eight-speed automatic transmission is another impressive option.
Safety is another Chrysler 300 hallmark. With over 70 available safety and security features, the 300 is one of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s ‘Top Safety Picks.’ This luxury sedan also earns a five-star rating from the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration. Among the standard safety features that have earned the 300 such accolades are its electronic stability control system, hill start assist, traction control and rain brake assist.
Inside, convenience and comfort features abound. For
example, standard features include a 12-way power driver’s seat, tilt/telescoping steering, dual-zone climate control and Chrysler’s Uconnect Multimedia Centre, which boasts one of the biggest screens in the industry. You can also choose from available extras such as full leather interior, heated front seats, steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, heated and chilled front cup-holders and a Beats Audio system.
There’s nothing else quite like it.
