WHAT SETS IT APART FROM THE REST
Precision Foam Colour’s patented non-drip foam technology minimizes the usual time consuming process and uneven and patchy results – telltale signs of a typical DIY job. The premium foamer cap transforms 80g of liquid to almost 2 liters of super-creamy foam too, which means plenty of foam to saturate your lovely locks for your best colour results. Grey-be-gone.
Nicola Clarke, John Frieda Creative Colour Director, says, “In the past, I’ve always advised clients against at-home colour because it’s just been impossible to get the same even coverage that colourists can achieve at the salon. Precision Foam Colour makes it easy for women to get precise coverage at home. I worked with John Frieda Hair Care experts to create shades that closely reflect what I really use in the salon—there’s a full range of natural, luminous colours for blondes, brunettes, and redheads, giving women access to a caliber of colour usually found in the salon.”

And when it comes to choosing the best shade? Alain Larivée, John Frieda Canadian Creative Consultant, says, “Selecting a colour within 1-2 shades of your natural hair colour is the safest way to go when colouring your hair but that does not mean you can’t be a little adventurous. Pull out the photo albums and analyze your hair colour throughout the years. The natural sun bleached hair tones from the end of the summer photos are a good clue of what you can safely get away with when wanting to go lighter. Pictures also remind us of what colours we could get away with in our teens, but not our thirties.” And as with any hair colour, do a skin allergy test 48 hrs before use.
TIPS FOR USING PRECISION FOAM COLOUR
Larivée points out that the hairs’ condition will always determine the results we’ll get, and that over-abused, over-processed, over-porous hair will not respond well to any type of hair colouring. That said; get your hair in great shape first. If your hair is good-to-go, here are some easy, insider how-to tips.
Always apply hair colour to dry hair, and use as much of the bottle as you can, the more foam you use, and the more you massage, the better your colour results. Make sure you entirely cover your roots, hairline and the back of your head with the foam.
To ensure lasting results, apply the Precision Foam Colour intense after-colour conditioner in the package, to seal in your colour. Try and limit how often you wash your hair and expose it to the sun, plus dial back the use of heated styling tools when you can. And of course, using the right colour-care shampoo and conditioner such as the John Frieda Colour Protection line makes all the difference too.
