LISTING AGENTS Marlene and Sarah McLean, Royal LePage Real Estate Services Ltd.

The Action: About 30 potential buyers toured this detached house near the Islington Golf Club, most of them in private showings.

What They Got: Set back on a 60-by-124-foot lot behind a curved driveway is this roughly 20-year-old brick residence with a four-bedroom plan with direct access into a double garage and professionally landscaped gardens, west-facing yard and stone patio.

The interior is laid out with an office, a living room and a family room with a gas fireplace, as well as formal and casual dining areas off the kitchen with a walkout to a covered porch.

The master suite is the only bedroom upstairs with a walk-in closet and largest of four bathrooms.

Further improving on the home, the sellers recently invested in new roofing and cooling system, hardwood and granite finishes and decorative trims throughout, in addition to a refurnished basement with two bedrooms and a recreation room with a wet bar.

The Agent's Take: "The size of the home was very good, approximately 3,100 square feet, and the condition of the home was absolutely meticulous," agent Marlene McLean said.

"Another really nice feature was there were two stairs to the lower level and one them was right at the side door, so it allowed for a wonderful nanny or in-law suite."

Many buyers also saw past this property's location to its perks.

"Because it's on a busier street, the home was much more affordable than a similar home on one of the side streets in that particular location," Ms. McLean noted.

"The backyard was so well done and private, especially with the different levels and covered porch, it made the back very inviting. And when you're back there, you don't even realize you're on a busier street."
