LISTING AGENTS Marlene and Sarah McLean, Royal LePage Real Estate Services Ltd.

The Action: This detached bungalow in Etobicoke drew about 50 people to an open house and logged about two dozen individual showings. In the end, the seller was fortunate to have a choice between two rival offers.

What They Got: A 40-by-124-foot lot provides the base for this 1960s, brick bungalow, private driveway, detached garage and west-facing backyard.

Inside, the layout is classic, divided with a kitchen, living and dining rooms and three bedrooms with hardwood floors, plus a basement with an open entertaining and cooking space with above grade windows, one bedroom, one of two full bathrooms and a separate entrance.

The Agent's Take: "It was a superior home in terms of the contents and everything else," said agent Sarah McLean, referring to its design and decor. "It's a cozy, well-maintained bungalow."

While older homes are often replaced altogether in the area, this one may be renovated. "It's a great starter home with access to highways and transit," Ms. McLean said. "In that pocket, you can get in for under $600,000s, but get out for between $800,000 and $900,000."
