One offer was presented after a steady flow of about 15 private showings and a public open house attended by about 20 parties.

The Agent's Take: "It's a desirable pocket, called Chestnut Hills, and it has a great school and neighbouring homes are closer to $2-million," agent Kara Reed said. "So this was a diamond in the rough."
For instance, many buyers saw the property's raw potential. "This was a little detached, 1.5-storey [house] that someone would buy for the lot and did," Ms. Reed added. "It was a beautiful size lot."
