LISTING AGENT Jerry Hammond, Hammond International Properties Ltd.

The Action: There is little turnover on this cul-de-sac lined with large estates all backing on to the Bayview Golf and Country Club. But by chance, agent Jerry Hammond recently sold not one, but two properties there, including this one picked up after more than three dozen showings.

What They Got: For nearly five decades, a heavily treed, 100-by-150-foot lot supported this two-storey house with a four-bedroom and four-bathroom plan, plus a solarium with one of several walkouts to an in-ground pool, southeast-facing backyard and attached double garage.

The Agent’s Take: “The greatest attributes of the home are the location [by] Bayview Golf and Country Club, and they’ve all got beautiful views,” Mr. Hammond says. “It’s all surrounded by the golf course, so it’s a really private community with one entrance in and one entrance out.”

This property is also a sample of real estate offerings in the small, Markham community. “That’s a pretty typical house of that vintage,” Mr. Hammond notes. “[And] all the lots are 100-by-150-feet.”
