Have you outgrown your starter home or condo? Want to upgrade to a larger, more expensive place to live? Well, outside of the sticker price for the home, there are plenty of other costs associated with selling one place and buying another.

There are real estate, mortgage, legal and moving fees, as well as land transfer taxes. The bottom line, says Preet Banerjee, is that selling and buying a home is expensive, so try to avoid moving too often.
