National Homes has launched its Churchill collection of town homes, a rare opportunity to buy into a new project in tony Forest Hill, with the added benefit of a prime urban location.
“You’re across the street from the Winston Churchill Park, so you have south-facing views above the whole city skyline and you know you’re not going to have any views blocked,” marketing director Deena Pantalone says. “And the north-facing views of our townhomes are of beautiful mature trees of Forest Hill village.”
The luxury infill project is also situated between Spadina and Avenue roads, so residents will be surrounded by well-established landmarks, from prominent public and private schools to boutique shops and upscale restaurants.
“You have the TTC right outside your door, so it’s quick to get downtown, Yorkville or the theatre,” Ms. Pantalone said. “It’s really got everything you could want in terms of an ideal location still in keeping with a neighbourhood feel.”
To complement the predominantly traditional architectural style of the affluent community, the collection will offer a dozen three-storey townhouses with classic brick and stone facades evocative of London and New York brownstones.
“They’re beautiful. They look like nice, elegant private residences tucked into Forest Hill village,” Ms. Pantalone added.
The units will also have a private backyard or rooftop terrace.
“We have some downsizers that are looking to sell their larger homes, but still want a backyard or deck area,” Ms. Pantalone said.
“Why not take advantage of those south-facing views where you can have a rooftop terrace to sit in the summer and have a view of the city skyline? It will be spectacular.”
Each model will provide open living and dining spaces with 10-foot ceilings on the main floor and three bedrooms with nine-foot ceilings on the upper levels, plus street-level entry off an English garden courtyard and interior access to two-car parking and storage in an underground garage.
Plans such the Duncan offers buyers the choice of a large eat-in kitchen or rear family room. “The designs are quite fabulous,” Ms. Pantalone said.
“[Plus] we’ve recently launched some new designs accommodating elevators, which is an important feature.”
Alex Chapman of Union 31 designed the interior design package, which will include hardwood floors, gas fireplaces and oak staircases with iron pickets, as well as stone kitchen counters and backsplashes and stainless steel appliances by Sub-Zero and Wolf.
Residents can move in by spring of 2014. Monthly fees have yet to be determined.Report Typo/Error
