DAYS ON THE MARKET Two

LISTING AGENTS Tanya Sidorova and Michael Inwood, Sutton Group Realty Systems Inc.

The Action: House hunters found little on the market in Swansea this August, so when this semi-detached house hit the market, a little thing such as no parking didn't stand in the way of two quick bids.

What They Got: Nearly every area inside this roughly century-old Victorian was recently modernized, from updating two bathrooms to redesigning the lower-level recreation room with eight-foot ceilings and a gas fireplace.

The main floor maintains its 9 1/2-foot ceilings, but now has open living and dining areas, as well as a kitchen overhauled with quartz counters, stainless-steel appliances and sliding doors to a deck and fenced 17-by-95-foot lot.

The second floor of the 1,240-square-foot space is designated to three private chambers.

The Agent's Take: "It's steps away from Bloor Street, the subway, all the shops and restaurants, so it was a perfect location," agent Michael Inwood says. "[Plus] there aren't a lot of semis in Swansea."

This home is also one of few with Victorian façades. "It had tons of curb appeal," Mr. Inwood states. "And [the sellers] updated about 90 per cent of the house, so the main floor and kitchen were fabulous and they kept the backyard in good shape."
