DAYS ON THE MARKET Six

LISTING AGENT Julie Kinnear, Keller Williams Neighbourhood Realty

The Action: The popularity of the Leaside community often translates into quick sales, and this home was no exception. Two buyers fought for this custom-built residence after a few days of market exposure before Thanksgiving weekend.

What They Got: A glass-enclosed 1,200-bottle wine cellar, a Scotch tasting wet bar and an auto lift system in the built-in garage are just some of the prized appointments in this two-storey residence constructed on a 38-by-100-foot lot five years ago.

The roof, water main, heating and cooling systems are even newer additions in this 2,660-square-foot space, which is dressed with a fireside living room, dining area and open eat-in kitchen and fireside family room with an island, granite counters, stainless steel Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances and hardwood floors, as well as a walkout to a tiered deck and fenced yard.

All four bedrooms have access to one of three bathrooms upstairs and the lower level guest bedroom is by the fifth bathroom and recreation room.

The Agent's Take: "What makes this custom versus cookie cutter is they did a lot of custom millwork – beautiful wainscoting, door and window frames and detailed work and built-ins – so that was really cool," says agent Julie Kinnear.

"It has four bedroom, plus one in the basement, and five bathrooms, so the big deal there was that every bedroom upstairs has their own en suite."

Furthermore, auto and wine enthusiasts were happy with its storage capacity. "The garage had a 14-foot ceiling, which allowed the owners to put in a lift, which means two cars can park in the garage. It's super rare," Ms. Kinnear notes.

"The 1,200-bottle wine cellar was spectacular and gorgeous … it's very nice with a cool glass wall, slate floors and its own refrigeration. And they put in a Scotch tasting wet bar with double fridges, so it's pretty cool."
