LISTING AGENT Rod Bahari, Sutton Group West Coast Realty

The Action: Agent Rod Bahari says the family of six that sold the unit moved to a bigger home outside the area. He held two open houses and received seven offers.

A family of four, from Vancouver, purchased the property. The sale price sets a record per square foot for rowhomes in the area, says Mr. Bahari.

What They Got: The 1,690 sq. ft. row home is part of the growing Port Royal residential development in New Westminster’s Queensborough neighbourhood.

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom end unit, built in 2010, includes a detached double garage, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, new flooring and private patio.

It’s a short walk to the riverfront.

The Agent’s Take: “Of all attached properties I’ve sold in last couple of weeks in the Lower Mainland, everything sold for over asking, so it’s still active and competitive for sure,” says Mr. Bahari.

“It’s the detached [market] that’s pausing and adjusting and taking in that foreign buyer tax.”
