LISTING AGENT Ed Allan, Royal LePage West

Realty Group Ltd.

The Action: Realtor Ed Allan has sold a couple of bungalows on a tree-lined street in Norseman Heights with his most recent transaction being this detached, brick bungalow with an attached garage.

More than 100 groups dropped by the open house and 60 ventured through at other times. Before the end of the week, five buyers battled to present the best bid, which was in the mid $500,000s.

What They Got: In the early 1950s, a 41-by-133-foot property became the home for this two-bedroom and one-bathroom bungalow with a living room, adjacent dining room and kitchen, in addition to a rear sunroom with a walkout and lower-level family room.

The Agent's Take: "It's a high demand area close to the QEW, Queensway theatre district, Sherway Gardens, two No Frills grocery stores and excellent schools," says Mr. Allan.

"It's close to two TTC buses – one to Royal York subway [station] and one to the Islington subway – and it's close to the Mimico GO station and the highway." This home was also fit to be occupied or torn down as the local buyers will do. "It's popular because older people can live in the house because everything's on one level and it's so close to stores that even if you lose your car, you can still get there," adds Mr. Allan.
