Kevin Harrison has been involved with Muscular Dystrophy Canada for 15 years. The non-profit organization is dedicated to finding a cure and enhancing the lives of those affected by neuromuscular disorders. As someone living with muscular dystrophy, Mr. Harrison has brought to the forefront both the perspective and daily challenges faced by those living with a physical disability to corporate boardrooms nationwide through speaking events, as well as to media and the general public. His passion and drive to bring awareness to these challenges resulted in the initiation of various programs and fundraising events; Mr. Harrison has raised over $5-million for muscular dystrophy programs and research.
Mr. Harrison’s volunteer work includes Action Centre/Centre Action, where he helped bring funding up to $650,000 to establish the first bilingual disabilities-focused drop-in centre in Montreal. Over a period of ten years, Mr. Harrison has raised $4.5 million for the Action Centre, covering all operational expenses and assisting hundreds of Montrealers living with disabilities.
