Wendy Evans has over 25 years of industry experience spanning both the retail and wholesale sectors. She has held senior positions with direct operating responsibility, and has advised some of North America's best known retailers both large and small including Home Depot, Home Hardware, National Grocers, Royal Bank, CIBC, AutoZone, In Wear Canada, Loblaw Companies, Dupont Canada, Andres Wines, Tilley Endurables, The Molson Companies, Saks Fifth Avenue, LCBO, and more.
She has taught retail marketing, is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Retail Management at Ryerson University, and was an associate with the Centre for the Study of Commercial Activity. She is the author of Border Crossings, a book published by Prentice Hall dealing with international retailing, and a finalist in the National Business Book Awards. Evans has both chaired and been a director of several industry initiatives, including the Retail Learning Initiative and the Ontario Retail Sector Strategy. She currently serves as a Director on the Board of Sun Life Financial Trust, The North West Fund, the Canadian Cancer Society, is a member of the Corporate Cabinet of the Conservation Foundation.
