Ontario government launches small business web site

Globe and Mail Update

The Ministry of Small Business and Entrepreneurship officially launched its website Thursday, creating a new resource for small business owners and entrepreneurs.

"The McGuinty Government is on the side of business, including small business and entrepreneurs, who help Ontario prosper," said Minster of Small Business and Entrepreneurship Harinder Takhar. "The new ministry's website provides entrepreneurs with access to all of the tools and information the ministry has to offer in one convenient location."

The website offers information to help a range of Ontario business owners, from new start-ups to established firms. There is also information geared towards youth interested in entrepreneurship and for non-profit organizations that are in search of funding.

The website also provides links to small business resources such as the Regulatory Registry, which contains information on regulatory proposals and how small business can help the government develop better regulation.

The new website can be found at www.sbe.gov.on.ca
