Bombardier Inc. has appointed an aviation veteran of more than 30 years as the president of its new Aerostructures & Engineering Services division.

Jean Seguin, who joined Canadair in 1981 will take up the post and report directly to Bombardier chief executive officer Pierre Beaudoin. Bombardier purchased Canadair from the federal government and recently split its aerospace division into three units.

"Jean Seguin is a seasoned manager with a deep knowledge of the aerospace industry," Mr. Beaudoin said in a statement.
